The Eagles won 4-2 over the Calverton Barza Juniors Saturday. It was a tight game, with both teams getting great chances, especially in the first half. José hit the crossbar and post on two shots, and a Barza player also hit the post.
The game was tied up 2-2 at the half on goals by Max and José. Then the Eagles got some reinforcements in Alfonso and Martin on defense, which seemed to make the difference in the game. José scored the game-winner and added a third goal late in the 2nd half for a hat trick.
Next up, the Eagles face the Mt. Airy Shoccers Saturday afternoon.
Pictures from the game will be available Friday.

Pictures from the semifinal match at the Bull Run Tournament May 24, 2009 against the VSA Heat 97 Gold. This was a thriller which we lead most of the game 1-0. But VSA tied it up with less than 3 minutes left and forced a shootout. The shootout went to extra shooters. Both goalies were incredible. But in the end, VSA won and played for the championship; a game they ended up losing 3-0 to Frederick Academy Black.
